This section will be added to on a regular basis. Please visit regularly. When I was working with teens and families I asked them, at the end of the workshop, to sum up life in 8 condensed statements. The following are from several years of doing these workshops. I will indicate whether it was a teen or a parent who created the “booklet”.
- Find humor in things and laugh at yourself
- Don’t worry about things you can’t do anything about
- Bring conversations with irrational people to a close quickly
- Don’t take on new projects if you have 3 in process
- Be patient, don’t jump to conclusions, give people a chance
- If you don’t understand – ask
- The way you behave has nothing to do with anyone else
